Welcome to my February 2005 issue of
“Hope, Health & Humor”

Hope:
There are so many things that concern me as a
mom. The lyrics, in our children’s music and the violent TV
& video games, however I see hope in our children too.
I am touched every time I attend one of my
son’s basketball games. There is a young man with who
appears to have Down Syndrome and at half time he runs out to
shoot the ball. He is quite good actually but when he shoots
several other kids run out to cheer him on or play with him.
They let him pick the ball from them so he can shoot and then they
pat him on the back when he makes it. The point is, they let
“him” enjoy the feeling of being the star.
Sure it’s important to monitor our children’s
behaviors but it is also important for us to stand back, tell them
“good job” and let them shine.

Health:
Oh, I should have sent this newsletter early
this month. Why? Because I wanted to remind everyone,
before Valentines Day, that chocolate is actually healthy
for us.
That’s right it is loaded with antioxidants.
Good quality chocolates are packed with flavonoids that actually
help the cardiovascular system.
If you are looking for “organic” healthy
Belgian chocolate truffles to indulge yourself, or send to a loved
one, I have a source that sells 16 each packed with 500 mgs of
phytonutrients.
Go to:
Healthy Chocolate Truffles from Trivita
The tab up top of their page will say
“Specials” click on that tab and you will see a menu. Select
“Healthy Chocolate Truffles”.
They have a great life time membership plan
that will allow to purchase at member prices of just $24.99.
Enjoy. Then refer to last months
article on weight gain!

Humor:
Before I met my husband I’d never fallen in
love, though I’ve stepped in it a few times.

If love is the answer could you please
rephrase the question?
